About
Vaughan Zoutendyk
As a coach and corporate trainer, in Leadership, Vaughan works hard to diagnose the root causes of challenges, and to solve problems his customers face. He believes in strategy and the alignment of people for improved execution. Vaughan has served in leadership positions such as the commercial head, and the head of sales, creating new revenue streams, introducing new products into existing and new markets, optimizing margins, key account management, and managing budgets, targets, and Proft & Loss for multiple Business Units.
He also has many years of experience in direct selling, helping businesses to grow and increase their market share. Leadership skills have underpinned all progress throughout his career. Understanding people and increasing their engagement in the company strategy has been foundational. Vaughan is a coach and corporate trainer in leadership development. He works locally and internationally with well-known brands. Having left the corporate environment in 2003, he has a keen interest in developing small and medium-sized businesses and their Leadership abilities.

Vaughan has 31 years of work experience. His early work roles included sales and customer service functions. These matured into corporate direct selling, a wider business development functions of the “Head of Sales” and the “Commercial Head” of multiple Business Units. Vaughan has 15 years of corporate training experience and 8 years of one-on-one coaching experience.

- Strategically growing a franchise business enabling a profitable sale within 3 years of the intervention.
- Working Internationally and locally for well-known brands.
- Obtaining accreditation for over 50 leadership programmes with a Training Company in the USA.

- Collaborated with global brands across FMCG, Engineering, Financial Services, Packaging, and Petroleum industries, including clients like JTI, Babcock International, Standard Bank, ABInbev Africa, ABB, Philips, Nampak, Sasol, Astron Energy, and Saudi Aramco
- Co-created bespoke solutions and led people development interventions for key clients, specialising in Leadership and Advanced Negotiation Skills.
- Achieved significant business growth through Market Share expansion, increased Sales Revenue, and optimized Value in Deals, utilizing a strategic approach to Key Account Management.
- Brought 31 years of direct selling experience, with skills in Negotiating Contracts, New Product Development, Marketing, and Business Unit Financial Management.
- Experienced in People Management and fostering team growth to drive organizational success.
Education
- Formal qualifications are in Marketing and Marketing Communications with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.
- Currently studying towards a Masters in Missional Leadership.
