Beyond the boardroom, Gustav's compassionate counselling has supported employees at international companies like Sasol for nine impactful years. As the founder of Short Walk Seminars (Pty) Ltd. He pioneered transformative leadership programs, including the inspiring 'Short Walk to Freedom' initiative on Robben Island. 


A captivating motivational speaker and author, Gustav's wisdom has touched lives across five continents, earning him the esteemed Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) designation.   • 49 years in pastoral ministry, including 23 years in bivocational leadership.

Achievements

  • Author of three books: "A Practical Guide to Intimacy in Marriage" (1990), "Learn to Love Yourself" (1992), and "Giving Leadership" (2017).

Work Experience

  • National Director of the Association of Vineyard Churches (SA) from 1997 to 2018.
  • Founded and directed Vineyard Music South Africa (1995-2000).
  • Associate with Crucial Consulting (2000-2024), focusing on consulting, training, and strategic planning.

Education

  • Certified leadership coach with an Associate Coaching Certificate from the International Coaching Academy.
  • B.A. in Psychology and Biblical Studies (1973),
  • B.Th. (Hons.) in Pastoral Counselling and Theological Ethics (1982) from UNISA.
  • M.Th. in Missional Leadership from Stellenbosch University (2016).
